InvoiceOcean Chrome Extension - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the InvoiceOcean - quick invoices Chrome extension (the “Extension”) handles your information. It applies only to the browser Extension. Use of the InvoiceOcean web application is governed by the InvoiceOcean Privacy Policy.
What the Extension does
The Extension lets you create invoices in your own InvoiceOcean account directly from a side panel in your browser. It connects only to your own InvoiceOcean account using credentials you provide.
Information the Extension handles
- Account domain - the address of your InvoiceOcean account (for example
my-company.invoiceocean.com). - API token - the authorization code you generate in your InvoiceOcean account settings.
This information is stored locally in your browser (Chrome storage) and is used solely to authenticate your requests to your own InvoiceOcean account. It is sent only to your InvoiceOcean account over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection when you create an invoice or open the app.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, receive or store your data on our own servers through the Extension.
- We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness or any purpose unrelated to the Extension’s single purpose.
- The Extension contains no analytics or third-party tracking.
Permissions
- Side panel - to show the invoicing interface next to your current tab.
- Storage - to save your account domain and API token locally so you do not have to re-enter them.
- Access to *.invoiceocean.com - to call your own InvoiceOcean account API.
Data removal
You can remove all stored data at any time by clearing the Extension’s settings or by uninstalling the Extension from your browser.
